Badlands boondocking

We spent 2 nights at the Badlands Boondocks site, and it is definitely one of the nicest spots I have camped at. There are lots of spots to pick from, the road into it is well maintained, and the views are magnificent.
Custer’s Last Stand

We visited the site of the Little Big Horn battle where General Custer made his last stand. The battle field has been kept in fairly good condition and there are markers showing where the soldiers were found. A great example of keeping history intact.
Devil’s Tower

Wyoming We stayed at the KOA next to the entrance to Devil’s Tower. This 900′ spire was made famous in the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and is an amazing thing to hike around. Unfortunately they do not allow dogs on the trails so we had to wait until it cooled down a…
